Welcome to our home on the Web. Browse around and meet us and our Australian Shepherds. Crystal Winds is a 40 acre Ranch about 40 minutes north of the Twin Cities- Minneapolis- St.Paul in Minnesota. We are a small kennel of Australian Shepherds ,an ASCA registered Kennel, with all dogs living in our home as family members. We compete in AKC, ASCA, UKC and CKC in conformation with plans to compete in obedience, rally, herding and agility. We compete in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri and several other states and Canada on a regular basis. We are members of ASCA ( Australian Shepherd Club of America) USASA ( United States Australian Sherpherd Association) The Upper Midwest Australian Shepherd Club. Our Aussies are naturally reared and are fed a raw all natural diet consisting of raw meaty bones and a meal of muscle meat eggs and supplements.. We have fed this way since January of 2000. We are breeders of fine Australian Shepherds and have puppies available occasionally. All our breeding stock are health tested for genetic issues before breeding. This includes OFA hip and elbow readings ( for hip and elbow dysplasia), CERF certified ( eye clearances by a licensed canine opthamologist), and many other genetic issues that we have DNA testing for, including CEA, PRA, PrCD, MDR1,Cataracts and more. Most of the animals used in our breeding program are CHIC certified ( Canine Health Information Center that requires registered passing gradings in OFA Hips, Elbows and CERF registered Eyes) Our goal is to produce the best possible Australian Shepherd puppy that conforms to the standard. Our primary focus is on wonderful temperaments, genetically healthy animals, in a beautiful correct structured package with correct and lovely movement.
